High Performance Program
The Sutherland Sharks FC High Performance Program offers ambitious JDL and Youth players extra training to enhance their technical, tactical, physical, and mental development. Designed to accelerate growth beyond regular sessions, it provides a flexible, elite environment that upholds the high standards of Sharks football.
Building Future Sharks
The Sutherland Sharks FC High Performance Program forms a key pillar of our long-term Football Strategy, designed to provide an enhanced training environment that supports player growth beyond our baseline team sessions.
Delivered by the Sharks Head of Football Development, Paul Reid, who is the current Australian U17’s Joeys Assistant Coach. This program is for Sharks players who want to further develop their technical, tactical, physical, and mental performance. This program offers optional additional sessions that complement our existing JDL and Youth training structure. It reflects our commitment to delivering a holistic player pathway that prepares every young Shark for the next stage of their football journey.

Aligned to Our Football Strategy
This initiative reinforces our Club-wide Football Strategy, ensuring that every Sharks player is exposed to an aligned development philosophy from JDL through to Senior Football.
By investing in structured, high-performance environments, we aim to produce technically proficient, tactically aware, and resilient footballers — ready to represent Sutherland Sharks with pride and purpose
These sessions are an optional extra designed to support development — not a requirement. Players who don’t participate will continue to receive the same opportunities for selection and match-time as always.
Our High Performance Program is delivered by Paul Reid, the Sharks Head of Football Development and U17 Joeys Assistant Coach.
