Sutherland Sharks FC is at a pivotal moment in our history. As we embark on our ambitious 3-year strategic plan to return to the pinnacle of the NPL and redefine our "Business of Football," we are looking for the right leaders to help steer the ship.
We are officially inviting Expressions of Interest from passionate community members to join the Sutherland Sharks Board of Directors.
The Opportunity
As we hit the reset button and focus on long-term sustainability, this role is about more than just governance—it’s about contribution. With our new leadership team and coaching staff already in place for the 2026 season, this is the perfect time for a strategic-minded professional to help formalize the club's growth.
Role: Appointed Director
Location: Miranda, NSW
Term: Casual / Volunteer (Board Appointment)
Start Date: Immediate Start Preferred
What We Are Looking For
To complement our existing Board, we are seeking individuals who can provide "in-house" expertise to help offset external costs and professionalize our operations. We are unashamedly focused on uniting the community to invest in our players and coaching pathways.
Specifically, we are looking for candidates with a background in:
Strategy & Governance
Legal & Compliance (specifically within the Not-For-Profit sector)
Business Development
Community Engagement
Timing & Process
The successful candidate will be appointed by the Board immediately, with the position to be formalized at the Club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in approximately three months.
This is your chance to give back to a proud local institution and play a direct role in the Sharks’ rise over the next three years.
