U7 & U8 Touranment
Sutherland Sharks FC are excited to announce our July School Holidays Junior Tournament.
We're hosting a one-day junior football tournament at Seymour Shaw Stadium in July, and we're looking to gauge interest before we lock in registrations.
This is a full-day World Cup-style tournament for Under 7s and Under 8s. Group stages, finals, off-pitch activations, a presentation ceremony hosted by Sharks first grade players -- the works.
Spots are limited. Register your interest below and we'll be in touch with full details once we confirm the format and date.
What to Expect:
Under 7s - 5-a-side. 8 teams. Group stage followed by a Champions Cup and Trophy Shield finals bracket -- so every team plays right through to the end, regardless of results.
Under 8s - Same format, bigger teams of 7-a-side.
Both age groups will run on the same day, across multiple pitches at Seymour Shaw.
What Happens on the Day?
While teams are off the pitch, kids won't just be sitting around. We've got activations planned throughout the day to keep things buzzing:
Speed Shooting Cage -- how hard can you strike it?
Soccer Darts -- aim for the bullseye with a football
1v1 Tournament -- an open bracket running all day. Any player can enter. One champion crowned at the end.
Top scores and fastest strikes get announced at lunchtime right before the finals. Expect some serious bragging rights.
How it Ends
Both the Champions Cup and Trophy Shield Grand Finals are followed by a presentation ceremony hosted by Sharks first grade players and coaching staff. Every finalist walks away with something to show for it.
