Sydney United 58 FC

The David Perkovic era at home begins with one of the most demanding fixtures on the calendar. Sydney United 58 are a club steeped in history and consistently bring a physical, high-intensity game plan.

We faced a narrow 2-1 defeat in this fixture last season, a result the squad is eager to overturn. This match offers the first opportunity for our supporters to see the new signings in action on home soil, particularly the dynamic Danny Choi and the returning Nick Olsen.

With a revamped tactical identity and a reinforced midfield, we are looking to control the tempo early. A win against a traditional heavyweight in Round 2 would send a powerful message to the league that Seymour Shaw is a difficult place to visit in 2026.
