How We Develop Players
Every player at the Sharks has a plan, a coach who knows it and a family who can see it, in facilities built for football.
2027 trials are complete, and selected players have been contacted.

Why the Sharks
Facilities built for football
A strength and conditioning gym, professional change rooms and a video analysis room at Seymour Shaw.
Coaches who’ve been there
Our programmes are led by former professionals and national-team coaches, among them a former Socceroo and the most successful coach in Matildas history.
A plan for every player
Each player sets their own goals with their coach, and their family follows the plan in the Clubhouse app.
Their own matches, on the big screen
Squads learn from their own games in the video analysis room, and filmed matches come back to your phone as highlights.
A plan for every player
Every player has a development plan with their coach, approved by the programme’s Technical Director.
Their own say
Each player rates their own game first, corner by corner, then sees their coach’s view beside it.
Two or three goals
Player and coach agree the goals that matter most this block, and the coach’s notes stay in the plan.
Clear on the pitch
Every goal says what to do at training, what to do in a match, and why it matters.
Proof on video
Players add their own moments from filmed matches to a goal, and their coach replies. Families follow it all in Clubhouse.
The base of the club’s strength and conditioning programme, where youth players train to individual plans.
Everything else, in one place
Coaching
Every session, planned
Built from the club’s curriculum and run from the coach’s phone, drill by drill.
Coaches keep learning
Every coach has a development plan of their own, reviewed three times a season.
Video
Matches on video
Filmed matches come back to your phone as highlights and clips.
Work rate
Distance, top speed and sprints from tracked matches. Families see only their own child’s.
Safe and fair
Fair game time
Real match minutes counted every round against Football NSW’s expectation.
Every coach checked
Working with Children Checks verified with the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian.
Concerns, raised privately
In the app, anonymously if you choose, seen only by the club’s Member Protection Information Officer.
Concussion, step by step
Football Australia’s graduated return to play, with the physio’s sign-off before the last steps.

Families
Away? Tell the coach
Report an absence in the app, and the coach knows before training.
Every goal, as it happens
Your child’s team live on your lock screen, and the final score at the whistle.
Reviews you can book
Pick a day and a time in the app when the coach meets families.
Your say, anonymously
The club survey, never linked to your account, and the committee reads every response.
Built at the Sharks
Clubhouse is the club’s own system, built at the Sharks. It runs the plans, the sessions, the game time, the checks and every message to families.
See ClubhousePart of our three-year plan
Best-practice programmes across the pathway, and the investment behind them, are in the club’s three-year plan.
Read our futureQuestions from families
Do I need the Clubhouse app?
Yes. It’s where your child’s plan, their sessions, match details and every message from the club live. Your child can have their own login too.
Who can see my child’s plan?
Your child, you, their coaches and the programme’s Technical Director. Nobody else.
What if I don’t agree with the plan?
At the foot of every plan, “Something doesn’t look right?” lets you send a note to the coach and the Technical Director. It doesn’t change the plan; it starts a conversation.
Does every programme work this way?
Every JDL and Youth programme, boys and girls, runs on Clubhouse and the same development plan from 2027.
