Built for the national stage
Seymour Shaw Park in Miranda has been home to the Sharks since 1950. Its 2025 redevelopment delivered a new clubhouse, a new playing surface and facilities that serve every player in the club, from the Junior Development squads to First Grade.

Change rooms
The senior and youth change rooms beneath the grandstand are finished to a professional standard: named lockers under the club’s colours, modern showers, and ice baths for the senior squads’ recovery after training and on match day.
The Junior Development squads have newly built change rooms of their own on the northern side of the stadium, and the women’s and men’s squads each have dedicated professional change rooms, so every team at the club has a room built for it.
Video analysis room
Beneath the grandstand, a purpose-built video analysis room is open to every team in the club, from the juniors to First Grade.
Sessions run on Clubhouse, the platform the club built for itself, which brings match and training video, tactical breakdowns, player and parent feedback and medical support together in one place.
Strength & Conditioning
The newly fitted gym in the Seymour Shaw precinct is the base of the club’s Strength & Conditioning programme, where senior and youth players train to individual plans.
Its priority is player health and longevity: ACL prehabilitation, cycle-oriented training and careful load management, to keep players fit, available and at their best.
Smithy’s Bar & Lounge
Upstairs in the clubhouse, Smithy’s is a relaxed, family-friendly bar and lounge with the whole pitch laid out below its windows. It opens 90 minutes before kick-off at every First Grade home game.
It is named for Paul Smith, who joined the club as an eight-year-old in 1961, captained the Sharks to the 1978 Ampol Cup, and went on to coach the club and serve as its President for more than 15 years.
Functions & Event Hire
With the pitch as its backdrop, Smithy’s hosts business, sporting and family events for up to 150 guests, from cocktail receptions to seated banquets.
Four screens and a Sonos sound system carry presentations across the room, lift access serves prams, wheelchairs and suppliers, and the club’s own staff look after guests on the day.
The Founders Room
The Founders Room is home to the Founders Club, the premier match day experience in the Sutherland Shire: padded balcony seats overlooking the pitch, catered pre-match and half-time dining, and a premium drinks menu.
Every membership funds the Sharks Foundation, which reinvests in Seymour Shaw: the pitch, lighting and seating, training and recovery areas, and better spaces for women and families.
Sunday Road Beer Garden
Right beside the pitch, the Sunday Road Beer Garden is where Seymour Shaw comes together: umbrellas and festoon lights over tables and stools, the game in full view, and the Sunday Road bar a few steps away.
The bar carries the name of our partners at Sunday Road Brewing Co, brewed just up the road in Kirrawee. On a match day, or a summer evening of Summer Soccer, it’s hard to find a better place in the Shire for a cold drink.
