On match day
A physio at every First Grade game, home and away, and at our youth games.

Play
Looking after players is built into the club. From the Youth League up, our physios are at training and on match day, and every injury and return is followed in the Clubhouse app. From JDL to First Grade, every player trains in a strength and conditioning programme built for their age.
2027 trials are complete, and selected players have been contacted.
From a knock at training to the day they’re back in the team, the physio, the coaches and your family follow the same recovery in Clubhouse.
A physio at every First Grade game, home and away, and at our youth games.
A free clinic at Seymour Shaw every Monday before training, in the club’s own treatment room, so a niggle is looked at before it becomes an injury.
Each injury is recorded in Clubhouse, from the first report to the physio’s clearance, and families can report one from the app.
The physio sets what a player can do at each stage of their return, and their coaches and family are told as it changes.

Our physios come from Jubilee Sports Physiotherapy, the club’s partner for 20 years and a Shire practice since 1995. They work as part of the club: at training, on match day, in our treatment room every Monday and in Clubhouse, where they record each injury and clear each return.
We follow Football Australia’s concussion guidelines, and Clubhouse holds every return to them.

At least 14 days before full-contact training and 21 before a match, and longer after a second concussion within a year.
Coaches confirm the early steps at training. Only a physio can clear a player for full contact and a return to play.
You’re told as each step is passed, and the day your child is cleared.
Our strength and conditioning coaches build each stage of the pathway for the players in it, with player health and longevity first.

Conditioning on the pitch, built into training, with light gym work and physical testing in the older age groups.
Individual plans in the gym, and testing against targets set for every age group, from sprints and jumps to endurance runs. Families see their child’s results in Clubhouse.
Gym programmes on each player’s phone, built for their position, with GPS at training and in matches. If something feels off during a session, one tap tells the physio.

What happens between sessions matters as much as the sessions themselves, so recovery is part of the programme, from the change rooms to the app.
Two ice baths in the change rooms beneath the grandstand, for the senior squads after training and on match day.
Modern, private showers in change rooms finished to a professional standard, and female-friendly, like every facility at the club.
First Grade players check in each day in Clubhouse with their sleep, soreness and fatigue, so the staff see how each one is recovering before they set the session.
Clubhouse shows the staff which First Grade players need extra conditioning after a game, so everyone stays match-fit.
Our strength and conditioning staff include degree-qualified exercise and sports scientists.
Meet the coaching teamJubilee’s physiotherapists look after our Youth League and senior squads. JDL players see their family’s own GP or physio. If your child can’t train, let their coach know in the Clubhouse app.
In the Youth League and senior squads, report it in the Clubhouse app. The physio follows it from there, and you’ll be told what your child can do, and when they’re expected back, as they recover.
The physios hold the clinical record. Coaches see whether your child is available and what they can do, never the diagnosis or the physio’s notes.
Youth League players, and JDL players in the older age groups, are tested against targets set for their age. You’ll see your child’s results in Clubhouse, beside the age group’s average and target.
