Former JDL Player Aston Reid Makes U16s National Team
Sutherland Sharks FC are proud to announce that former JDL player, Aston Reid, has been selected for the Australian U16 football team that is competing in the CFA Invitational Tournament in Hohhot, China. Aston will be representing Australia in the 4 team tournament over the next week, with games against Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and China.
The Sharks run in the Reid family. Aston played for the Sharks in the U11 and U12 age groups, while his sister Avery has followed in his footsteps and is currently in the U12 JDL team. Aston’s dad Paul is also Head of Youth Football at the club.
This is an amazing achievement for Aston, and we know his dedication, discipline, and hard work over the many years of playing football from the Grassroots to the representative level, will assist him as he showcases his talent on the international stage.
