Paul Reid appointed Head of Football Development
Sutherland Sharks FC is proud to announce the appointment of Paul Reid as Head of Football Development ahead of the 2026 season.
In his third season at the club, Paul will continue his role as U18s Head Coach and his newly appointed role as Football Australia Joeys Assistant Coach, while now taking on a broader leadership position that strengthens our football structure and aligns with the Club’s three-year strategy to achieve Gold Licence status and promotion to NPL1 at the next opportunity.
In his new role, Paul will lead the delivery of our High Performance Program. A series of additional, optional sessions designed exclusively for Sharks players. These sessions will provide a holistic and advanced training environment that complements our baseline program, catering to the growing ambitions of players and parents across the Club. Conducted in a controlled setting with licensed coaches and top facilities, the program reflects our commitment to providing the best possible player development experience.
Beyond the pitch, Paul will oversee the rollout of our school programs as part of our strategy to reconnect with the Sutherland Shire community, and will lead the Club’s Holiday Clinics and Tournaments to strengthen participation and development pathways across all age groups.
This appointment marks another important step in delivering on our vision outlined in our Three Year Plan, building a connected, community-focused, and high-performance football environment that positions Sutherland Sharks FC for long-term success.
Paul Reid coaching our Youth Teams in 2025.
